Placard

Terms of Use

Effective November 4, 2026

By using Placard, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Your account

You must be at least 13 to use Placard. Keep your sign-in details safe, and give accurate information. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time from Profile.

What you post

You own your visits, ratings and notes. By posting them, you give Placard a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display and share them so the app can work, including showing them publicly. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where it has already been shared or the law requires us to keep it.

Rules

Don't use Placard to:

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. To report someone or something, tap the … menu in the app, or email [email protected]. You can also block people from that menu.

Museum information

Hours, prices, exhibitions and other details can change or be wrong. Check with the museum before you go. Placard isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the museums it lists, unless we say so, and museum names belong to their owners. Museums can correct or remove a listing through our For Museums page.

Placard's content

Placard's design, name and software belong to us. Photos are credited with their source and license where they appear.

No guarantees

Placard is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It may change, have errors, or be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the app, including a wasted trip because of out-of-date information.

Ending your use

You can stop using Placard at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or if we stop offering the app.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use Placard after a change means you accept the new terms.
